Oh thank god today is over! I´ve spent the last few days writing and rewriting a piece for a newspaper here and FINALLY I think I have it in a semi-publishable form! Added to that I had a job interview today which included a presentation (god how I hate those - public speaking is definately not one of my strong suits!). All combined with a total of 6 hours training it from here to there and my left frontal lobe is about to blow up in disgust. At least the interview seemed to go well, I´ll find out soon enough I guess.

so GUESS WHAT? Yes that´s right - NO STITCHING!! I started the other day on a Bent Creek design, but as I mainly have Anchor I converted from DMC using an online conversion chart I found and dang it if it doesn´t just look completely wrong. So I´ll be piffing that 2 hours of work out the window (frogit frogit frogit)!

Well it´s at last so far. Finally I´m unemployed and have the time to waste updating this! what fun! Due to the hectic rush of the last few weeks I´ve barely had time to get my normal 14 cups of tea a day in, let alone pick up a needle. But now I´m back home and no longer in my little rented room in a shared flat I can spread out and settle myself back into my little stitching corner.

I did an IKEA run on Saturday (actually quite a normal weekend event - I´m terrified of moving out of here because we seem to add more stuff on a weekly basis) and anyhoo I´ve finally managed to get a frame for the poster I picked up at the Art Nouveau Museum in Nancy. Lovely small poster for a art nouveau textile exhibition a few years ago. I´d love to tell you all about it, but it´s in French and I don´t understand it!

Also managed to get up the book templates I found in Wernigerode, the Aboriginal piece my father gave me, the two paintings I got in Prague and my two little naked-people-in-egg prints from Potsdam. So now the flat is looking highly decorated and I´m not being visually assaulted with gleaming expanses of white wall space.
